Playouts Daily

Playout of the Day

Match 1 Turf City: First ever goal in the history of Playouts Reunited gets scored by Triplet’s friend Aaron. What a playout!

Match 2 Greenview Sec Sch: Adrian Yeap announces his arrival by kicking the ball across the fence into Greenview Secondary School

Match 3 Changkat Pri Sch: Zhuang superbly passes the ball to Kong who was in an offside position when he only has the keeper to beat (Edwin’s playout corner came in a close second)

Match 4 Yio Chu Kang Sec Sch: Essien Kong and Gattuso Han looking all brawn and no brains in the skin tight orange jersey at the void deck..

Match 5 Cantonment: Adrian Yeap for having a part to play in the three balls going over the fence in quick succession.

Match 6 Bedok North Sec Sch: Isa Gan has much to learn from the master Diego Armando Maradona if he’s ever going to perfectly execute the Hand of God..

Match 7 PUB Pitch: Jansen kicks the drop ball from the referee against the Madcat player in a gesture of fair play

Match 8 Clementi Stadium: Shao shows everyone his now famous damn shack face and does an Eduardo tackle on the opponent. Isa Gan for celebrating our first ever goal scored in Espzen with his cock thrusting goal celebration

Match 9 Punggol Sec Sch: Adrian thought he had the Playout Of The Day in the bag with yet another shot that ballooned over into the school but Edwin shows him how it’s done by clearing one into the construction site and coming up with a fluke goal that surprised him more than the keeper. Well done Edwin. Adrian some creativity please..

Match 10 Clementi Stadium: Calvin and Chong for scoring a spectacular own goal aka Paul Robinson and Gary Neville

Match 11 Orchid Park Sec Sch: ‘Wanna do fake?’ and ‘You want me to do anything?’ were the irritating questions Edwin asked Kong before Kong scored from a free kick. Still Edwin went ahead with his own show to look like he was waiting for the ball to shoot. Nobody fell for it

Match 12 Serangoon Stadium: Swinging a golf ball at the driving range was Isa Gan’s choice for goal celebration with caddy Edwin Lim joining in the action.

Match 13 First Toa Payoh Sec Sch: Keeper Chris Tan fails to handle a tame shot from the opponent and juggles the soccer ball like a clown!

Match 14 Henderson Sec Sch: Adrian Yeap’s playout shot that went straight up 50 metres into the air and actually almost went into the top corner of the opponent’s goal! That would have been contender for fluke goal of the season together with Edwin’s goal.

Match 15 Bukit Timah Pitch 1: : Renhan’s response to Edwin’s accusation that he doesn’t speak up at match debriefs. ‘Opinions are like an asshole. Everybody has got one.’ and Isa Gan’s ‘Cherry’ codeword that got him excited by failed miserably towards calming the team down during the match.

Match 16 Braddell Pitch: : Biggest playout match day so far. Match was abandoned due to bad weather. Daryl Gomez got played out by the opponents into putting on his boots again and the sight of Adrian Yeap bathing with a tub of water and bailer and then posing in his size XXS red and white underwear.

Match 17 Bedok Green Sec Sch: : Isa Gan for sulking like the Spurs traitor Berbatov instead of fighting for the team with a never say die attitude like Roman Pavluchenko.

Match 18 Cantonment Field: : Isa Gan sends Renhan on and the next moment the referee blows the whistle. Now Renhan knows how it feels like to be a fringe player used only for time wasting tactics.

Match 19 Orchid Park Sec Sch: : Christopher addresses the Afifi opponents with a one minute lecture on why it’s wrong to kick the opposition’s keeper. Only thing missing from this well articulated speech was ending it with ‘The Best Is Yet To Be’.

Match 20 PUB Pitch: : As the Playouts returned to the field in the second half, Edwin gathered the team for a chest-thumping, morale-boosting cheer that will send our opponents cowering in fear. “1-2-3-PLAYOUTS!” Alas, the cheer rang true and deep, but instead of the unified voice of 11 men, there was only 10. Daryl Gomez cut a lonesome solitary figure in the middle of the field having been left out of the cheer.

Match 21 Jurong Stadium vs Afifi: : The ref blows the final whistle, signifying a 4-3 win for Playouts over Afifi, and more importantly, the clinching of the Divison 6 Championship!! Campeone, campeone… o wait….. the Playouts are trudging off the pitch into the stands with their heads bowed, like quiet, marching ants. They’ve just won the Division Championship, but they look like they’ve just had a talking to by Lian Soon. How’d that for a muted championship celebration?

Match 22 Temasek Sec Sch: : Season 2 Friendly: Which was more playout? Raja’s touches, his fitness or his belly? Welcome back Kluivert!

Match 23 Bedok North Sec Sch vs Madcats: : Season 2 Game 1: Marcus’s completely honest retort “Huh, I didn’t even pass the ball to you” in response to Geoffrey’s comment that he felt more comfortable now that Marcus and Kenny were playing in the middle. Marcus proclaims to all on the pitch that Kenny will be marking their number 14..well done

Match 24 Woodlands Ring Sec Sch vs ESPZEN Happy: : FA Cup 1st Round: Playout of the Day goes to the whole team for having the audacity to turn up for a FA Cup game against Div 1 league leaders with only 9 core players! Thankfully Isa found three friends and Chong found the back of the net.

Match 25 Cantonment Pitch vs Usual Suspects: : Season 2 Game 2: Zhuang comes on with 10 minutes left, staggers around the pitch and Playouts conceeds two late goals. Is he really our DM of the year? Return us the shin pads!

Match 26 Marsiling Sec Sch vs Benedetto: : Season 2 Game 3: If you can’t Bend it like Beckham, Lob it like Shao. Once again Shao proves to the team how being a bad crosser can be just as effective.

Match 27 Dempsey Field vs SCC Tigers: : Rain and lightning deprived Playouts the honour of stepping onto the pitch with four ACJC captains. Nasir 1999, Edwin 2000, Kenny 2001 & Lionel 2002. What an honour it would have been! I’m gonna gather the treasurers of these four years as well.

Match 28 Canberra Sec Sch vs Gila Galacticos: : Season 2 Game 4: Isa Gan puts on the brakes and gave up chasing Adrian Yeap’s superb throw in. Adrian seizes the golden opportunity to have a go at Isa. ‘Come on Isa!’ screamed Adrian. We give you 100 points for bravery.

Match 29 Bukit Timah Pitch vs Barclays Capital: : Season 2 Game 5: ‘Mark that Ang Moh!’ Liansoon commands. ‘Which one?’ cried Renhan from the side lines. Edwin thought the game was at 1pm and strolls in 20 minutes after the game started. This Gallas is starting to be a bad influence for our team.

Match 30 Marsiling Sec Sch vs Central Park: : Season 2 Game 6: The score read Playouts 4 Central Park 2 with the likes of Edwin, Chong, Adrian, Jansen, Renhan, Isa, Shao, Geoff and Zhi on the bench. The youth team of 1984 taught these old timers a thing or two about playing fluid attacking football! ‘I’ll see you on the pitch’ were the parting words Renhan had for Edwin as he came on as a substitute, leaving Edwin on the bench praying that Isa would bring him on for a cameo appearance.

Match 31 PSA Keppel Club: FA Cup Round 2: Isa Gan quits as coach of the team after Playouts suffer their biggest defeat of the season!

Match 32 Bedok Green Sec Sch vs Central Park: Season 2 Game 7: 5 minutes into the game as the stand in centreback for the team, Renhan gives away a penalty with a handball. Well done Mr Square Peg In Round Hole!

Match 33 Dempsey Field vs SCC Tigers: Season 2 Game 8: Shaun Yoon gets rewarded for his outstanding performance as keeper by being relegated to the goalkeeper list in gmail document.

Match 34 First Toa Payoh Sec Sch vs Benedetto: Season 2 Game 9: Not only did Benedetto concede a late goal, they also got a dose of Isa Gan’s groin thrusting goal celebration.

Match 35 Orchid Park Sec Sch vs Barclays Capital: Season 2 Game 10:Nobody believed that Dunstan was our top scorer last year when he was presented with the golden boot. Nobody believed Diego Forlan was a prolific goalscorer at Independiente when he came to Manchester United. Heads up Dunstan. Diego Forlan has 31 goals in 31 starts for Atletico Madriad this season.

Match 36 Regent Sec Sch vs Gila Galacticos: Season 2 Game 11: Six ACJC boys sat on the touchlines leaving RJC boy Abiel to risk his life climbing over the fence to retrieve a soccer ball. Good job for taking one for the team. Something Adrian, Guoming, Zhuang and Isa have much to learn about.

Match 37 Temasek Sec Sch vs Madcats: Season 2 Game 12: A parking attendant interrupts our half time team talk leaving Shaun Yoon, Jon Kong and Shao scrambling to park their cars somewhere else. Playouts couple #1 Geoff and Kenny share a tender moment over a plate of hokkien mee while couple #2 Guoming and Israel were bickering with each other over spilled cheng teng

Match 38 Dempsey Field vs SCC Tigers: Season 2 Game 13: Israel stumbles over a blade of grass and stayed down like Drogba, hoping to win a free kick. Chong gets Ronaldo-ed by an opponent who’s belly would have put Raja to shame. Despite swearing off butter chicken and cheese naan before the game, Shaun Yoon could only watch the superb freekick curl into the top corner.

Match 39 Springfield Sec Sch vs The Usual Suspects: Season 2 Game 14: ‘For your info, we won the league.’ said Isa Gan to a bunch of solemn faces.

Match 40 Henderson Sec Sch vs Timbre United: Season 3 Game 1: The Battle of the Bars – Zsofi vs Timbre ended in defeat for Zsofi. Isa, Zhi and Zhuang were taught a lesson never to sit too close to the sidelines after they fell off the bench and landed on their butts

Match 41 Braddel Pitch vs AIG: Season 3 Game 2: Shaun Yoon got away with paying only $6 despite playing centre back in the second half!

Match 42 Dempsey Field vs SCC Tigers: Season 3 Game 3: Gary Neville and William Galas no more. Edwin Lim is now our Eric Cantona and Roy Keane.

Match 43 Marsiling Sec Sch vs FC Schoeaux: Season 3 Game 4: Chong has been banned from clubbing on Saturday nights after suffering a hangover from a bachelor party the previous night and playing like how Vidic did against Liverpool.

Match 44 Bowen Sec Sch vs Barbarians: Season 3 Game 5: Chong took one for the team and crawled under the school gate to look for our two missing new soccer balls but got pinned down on the way out so everyone could take a photo of him.

Match 45 Springfield Sec Sch vs Tuan Gemuk Athletic: Season 3 Game 6: Oh we’re so feeling like Newcastle United now after a dismal start to the season!

Match 46 Meridian JC vs AIG: Season 3 Game 7: Started the game with 7 men!

Match 47 Dempsey Field vs SCC Tigers: Season 3 Game 8: Essay writing competition between Shaun, Jane and Chong at Adam Road Hawker Centre.

Match 48 Meridien JC vs Gabrielite: Season 3 Game 9: Mr Cheng Zaizhi had to start the game as our undisputed first choice keeper!

Match 49 Marsiling Sec vs Timbre: Season 3 Game 10: Playout. Timbre didn’t turn up so we got down to some training with Chong proving to be an excellent shot stopper..only if the ball comes to his right.

Match 50 Braddell Pitch vs Barbarians: Season 3 Game 11: Shao tumbled to the ground and celebrated in pain after rounding the keeper and scoring. Isa Gan taught Edwin Lim the proper way to get send off. ‘Not some pussy kick in the ass’.
